Helping One Young Person at a Time

We help young people and families work through challenges and help solve problems they have getting government service. Whether you’re a youth in care, trying to find mental health or disability supports, or not sure what your rights are, we’re here to help.

Our services are free, confidential and non-judgemental. Find out more about how we can help here.

Why Advocacy Matters

Feeling heard and supported can make all the difference when needs are unmet, times are tough and you don’t know what’s next. Advocates understand the child- and youth-serving systems really well. They listen to young people and those who care about them, help them determine their goals and what’s needed, explore options and can walk alongside young people and their caregivers as they navigate complicated government systems.

How We Do This Work

Our Advocates are experts in navigating child, youth, young adult and family services. They will listen deeply to experiences and concerns, provide information about the rights of young people, attend meetings and ensure the perspectives of the child, youth or young adult are heard.

Advocacy Spotlight

Sixteen-year-old Ethan, an Indigenous youth in foster care, longed to reconnect with his culture and community.

An Advocate supported him to be heard by his social worker and participate in cultural events, language classes, and family visits.

Looking to reconnect with your Indigenous family or community? An Advocate may be able to help.

The Difference We Make

We know that many young people and their circles of support feel alone when they’re having challenges. Services can be hard to understand and challenging to access. Our Advocates make sure the voices of young people and those who support them are fully heard and that often translates to much better service. Read more about the difference we make.
