A Research Review and Analysis – by Pat Mirenda, Ph.D. – submitted to the Office of the Representative for Children and Youth
What are the key components of effective, family-centred service delivery systems for children and youth with support needs (CYSN) and their families? What additional components are required to address the mental health needs of CYSN? And, what additional components are required to effectively deliver services to Indigenous CYSN and their families?
This report was commissioned by the Representative in order to provide valuable information to the Ministry of Children and Family Development as it moves forward with re-imagining the CYSN framework. However, RCY firmly believes that B.C.’s improved CYSN service delivery system must be truly co-designed with Indigenous leadership, families, advocates and community partners.
