Blair’s strength-based approach ensures vulnerable children, youth and young adults have meaningful opportunities to express who they are and what they need to achieve their potential and to ensure that their rights are respected and upheld.
Prior to joining the Representative’s office, Blair volunteered and worked supporting vulnerable youth in a variety of settings ranging from the Downtown Eastside of Vancouver to group homes to the Child Psychiatry unit at BC Children’s Hospital before moving to Scotland where he worked as a Social Worker and Youth Justice Social Worker for Glasgow City Council Social Work Services. Upon returning to B.C., Blair worked in the not-for-profit sector with youth who were involved in the youth justice system receiving an array of government supports and services.
Blair holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from the University of British Columbia.
Blair and his family reside in Victoria, B.C.
