Executive Director, Reviews & Investigations

John joined the Representative’s Office in February 2023, as Executive Director of Reviews and Investigations. John expresses his gratitude as a guest on the traditional territory of the Syilx peoples in Kelowna.

John began his career in the field of Social Work in Edmonton in 1992 after graduating from the University of Calgary with a Bachelor of Social Work. In 1999, John moved to Revelstoke where he took a position with the Ministry of Children and Family Development (MCFD) and has since held leadership positions within Service Delivery Division and Provincial Practice Branch in Victoria and Kelowna.

John has been on multiple community boards, policy development projects and was the MCFD provincial lead on collaborative practices. John has a deep passion for community development and bringing systems together for the shared vision that every child and young person feels safe, loved and has a sense of belonging. John is married, has 2 adult sons and enjoys running and spending time with family playing games.
