The Office of the Representative for Children and Youth is seeking a talented and experienced IT professional to provide information technology and application expertise to our staff in three locations.

Target Salary: up to $93,000 annually

The Representative for Children and Youth, an independent officer of the B.C. Legislature, works to influence positive change to the province’s child and youth serving system. The Representative’s office provides advice and advocacy support to people dealing with the service system, monitors and reviews government services to children and youth, and reviews deaths and critical injuries of children and youth who are receiving services.

As the Chief Information Officer for the Office of the Representative for Children and Youth, the Manager, Information Technology provides information technology operational and application management expertise to staff in three geographic locations. Reporting to the Deputy Representative, the Manager provides business analysis and technical expertise on system initiatives and development matters both in general and unique to the Representative’s operations. The position is also responsible for advising senior Executive on and implementing policies and procedures to safeguard highly confidential and sensitive data. Working with cross-program area teams and liaising with shared services and contracted resources, the position co-ordinates systems development, implementation, maintenance and support, including for the CITAR case management system.
